My Life Transformation began at Harding

My name is Izaac Wambi. It is with great Joy that I share how my life was transformed through Harding Christian Academy. I am a born of Isukwe, a village that borders with Nawangoma in Jinja – Uganda, where Harding is found. Similar to many other kids, I came from a Muslim background family hit by poverty in a remote village where we would foot distances to access education, health care and other basic needs.

In 2003, I finished my Primary, the first level of education that goes for 7 years. I had to join high school to study for more 6 years. In 2004, I joined a high school in a Town near our village and while there, I became a drug addict with all sorts of evil characters that overcome most youths due to lack of proper Christian centered parenting and mentorship.

After I had been suspended from that school, my Daddy decided that I join Harding in 2005. Daddy had left his Muslim faith and had given his life to CHRIST, so did my Mum and 2 of my siblings. As for me, one would be foolish to become a Christian because I loved Islam and secularism by then.

Thankfully, GOD had intended that my journey of salvation begins from Harding! Through several chapel fellowships, I felt being mentored and inspired to become somebody. I started serving in chapel by composing and singing gospel songs. SAD FATE! I had not given my life to CHRIST and the other bad side of me was going on as well.

THANK GOD AGAIN! A group of youths from Act for Africa came to Harding in 2006. During the fellowship, I confessed JESUS CHRIST as my LORD AND SAVIOUR. Cutting the long story short, I managed to finish my High School in 2009 after the 6 years from 2004.

In 2011, I had totally given up on joining University because with no doubt I knew I was coming from a poor family that couldn’t afford tuition. So, I thought I had reached the end of my life as many youths are in Uganda today.

Because I was looking for money to survive, I accepted a job offer in a night club where I spent approximately 6 months without going back home to see my parents. In fact, I was going astray.

GOD DID A MIRACLE! I decided to visit my parents. I found my Daddy cleaning the compound. These are the words he told me. “Now I know that GOD listens to your Mother’s Prayers. We have been praying that you come back this week”.And I was like WHY? Because you received a scholarship from Harding to go and study at LivingStone International University in Mbale – Uganda, said Daddy. Daddy told me the whole story of how Brother Grace Nyanga, one of the Directors at Harding by then came looking for me. I remember this incident daily and thank GOD for searching and choosing me through HIS Men.

LET ME SAY THIS! If it was not Harding, I would not have confessed CHRIST way back. I would not have gone to University to attain the education that transformed my life.

So in 2012, I joined LivingStone International University under a scholarship from Harding. While there, I accepted to re-confess Christ on 8^th October 2012 and to be baptized. My name changed from Ishmael (Muslim name) to Izaac. Glory be to GOD.

I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree that equipped me with skills in fields of communication, information technology and media. I use these mostly to let people know JESUS CHRIST.

The truth is; it’s difficult and sometimes impossible to get a job in Uganda after graduation. By the grace of GOD, I have worked with two companies after graduation between 2015  to 2018.

In 2019, my wife and I started up Activemakes Limited, our own company providing media and ICT services to individuals, companies, churches and other organizations. This is the link to our company website www.activemakes.com.

I thank  GOD for Papa Maanda Wilson and Brother Nyanga Grace for their contribution towards my personal, education and spiritual life through their heart felt service and ministry to Harding Christian Academy. Thanks to everyone who has served on the Board of Directors for Harding and the Busoga Churches of Christ. You brought the good news and education that has transformed the lives of people like me.

This education powered the foundation for me to be out of poverty, support my family and to share the little I afford with those the LORD enables me to walk with.

I thank the LORD JESUS CHRIST for the ministry and life of Dr. Ganus (His Soul Rest in Eternal Life) and the entire Ganus family and friends of Harding in the USA. Your love for Harding has given a bright future to me and many others out there. Please, continue supporting Harding. You are bearing good fruits for the LORD.

In summary, my entire life transformation began in 2002 when I joined Harding.

I give all the glory back to GOD through HIS SON JESUS CHRIST WHOM ONE DAY WE WILL BE WITH IN ETERNAL GLORY. AMEN.
